Sharyh Murray

Sharyh Murray is multidisciplinary fine artist from Hackney, London whose work sheds light on the ebbs and flows of human life.

Over the past eight years, her work has been deeply inspired by her Caribbean heritage, and Black popular culture.

An avid writer and MA Literature Alumni from the University of Surrey, Sharyh self-published her debut art and essay book “Culture Is Currency II” in 2020, exploring the richness and diversity of Black culture.

Her latest collection, “Genesis”, exhibited at the Camden Image Gallery in 2022, marked Sharyh’s introduction to abstract art. The collection examined the unique intersection between human creative expression, the intricacy of artisanship and the Biblical creation story.

Sharyh is currently creating a new art collection exploring the nuances of human growth through the eyes of her renewed faith.
